What Awaits is part of my series Timeless Trees. It is an original oil painting on linen, stretched on an aluminium frame, measuring 100 x 200 x 4.5 cm.

This work was inspired by the dune paths in the area of The Hague and Wassenaar — places where light gently guides the way forward. I wanted to capture that quiet moment of following the light, both in the landscape and within oneself.

What Awaits reflects a sense of movement and hope: a path that curves into the unknown, inviting us to trust what lies ahead. It is a visual meditation on transition, possibility, and the calm anticipation of what the future may bring.
