THE MAKING OF
Originals
Commissioned Paintings
Art created together with the client
Alongside my existing collection, I also create bespoke paintings for those seeking something truly personal and tailored to their home or story. My process is collaborative yet carefully guided, ensuring the artwork feels like it genuinely belongs in your space.
Whenever possible, I begin with a visit to your home to experience the atmosphere, talk through ideas, themes and sizes, and explore how the piece can reflect both your surroundings and your personal narrative. From this conversation, a concept naturally evolves — one that balances my artistic vision with your individuality.
The result is more than a painting; it becomes a piece created with you and for you, infused with both creative expression and personal meaning.
Materials
A strong foundation for every painting
Original works are painted in oil on fine linen canvas. Linen has long been valued for its strength and for the subtle, natural texture that beautifully carries brushstrokes. Unlike cotton, it maintains its tension over time, ensuring the canvas remains stable and refined in its appearance.
Each canvas is stretched on a high-quality aluminium frame, chosen for its lightness and exceptional stability. Even in large formats, aluminium prevents warping and keeps the surface perfectly taut.
This combination of linen and aluminium provides a foundation built to endure, giving every painting both lasting quality and a sense of quiet, timeless elegance.
Finishing and Delivery
Protection and care until it reaches your home
Once a painting is finished, it is sealed with a protective varnish. This final layer not only enhances the depth and richness of the colours, but also shields the surface from dust, humidity and everyday contact, helping the artwork maintain its vibrancy for many years to come.
Some originals are offered with a decorative frame, while others are presented unframed for a more minimal look. Framing can always be arranged to suit the style of the space in which the artwork will live.
Delivery is handled with the same level of care as the creation itself. Where distance allows, the artwork can be delivered and installed in person. For destinations further away, the piece is carefully packaged and shipped with professional handling to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
Prints
Curated Configurations
Framed or unframed, always with care.
We offer both framed and unframed prints, each prepared with the same care and attention to quality. For framed prints, you can choose from a curated selection of framing combinations, where the frame, passe-partout and size are thoughtfully matched to enhance the artwork. Each framed piece comes in a slim wooden frame with a passe-partout and matt glass, and arrives fully assembled and ready to hang the moment it reaches your home.
Materials
Reproducing originals with precision.
Fine art prints begin with a handmade original painting and are reproduced to museum standards to honour the character of the artwork. Colours remain true, fine details and subtle tonal transitions are captured with care, and the expression of the piece translates with clarity into print.
Printed on high-quality, archival-grade materials, these works are designed to retain their depth and richness over time. They offer an accessible way to enjoy authentic art at home, while staying faithful to the essence of the original.
Finishing and Delivery
Ready-made options designed to suit each image.
Prints are produced to order rather than taken from stock, meaning each piece is freshly made with fine-art precision. A professional printing and framing partner oversees production to gallery standards, from colour accuracy to craftsmanship. Before a piece is sent out, it is thoughtfully reviewed to ensure the finish meets the intended level of quality.
Packaging is tailored to protect the artwork on its journey. Unframed prints are shipped either flat or rolled, depending on size, while framed prints arrive ready to hang and securely wrapped for safe delivery. For the most refined presentation, having the piece framed by a professional framer is recommended, as this helps preserve both its appearance and longevity. Original artworks receive dedicated packaging and, where possible, personal delivery within the Netherlands.
