We want you to feel happy and confident with the art you bring into your home. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to support you. Below is a clear overview of how returns work, what can be returned, and when to expect your refund.
How Returns Work — Step by Step
If your artwork wasn’t the perfect match, you’re welcome to return it.
Step 1 — Contact us within 14 days
Email contact@linjans-art.com within 14 days of receiving your order to request a return (or to exercise your right of withdrawal). Please include your order number and the item you wish to return. If you prefer, you may use the EU withdrawal form, which you can download here.
Step 2 — Receive return instructions
We’ll reply with return details and packing guidance to help ensure the artwork is returned safely and arrives in good condition.
Step 3 — Ship your return within 14 days
After notifying us, please send the item back within 14 days. For standard returns, the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches us. We recommend using tracked shipping to help ensure a safe and smooth return process. Standard returns sent without tracking that do not reach us cannot be refunded, as we are unable to verify the return.
Step 4 — Refund issued after inspection
Once we’ve received and checked the returned item, we’ll process your refund to the original payment method used for the order.
If Your Order Arrives Damaged or Incorrect
We’re truly sorry if this happens — we’ll make it right.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@linjans-art.com and include:
- photos of the packaging and shipping label.
- photos of the item.
- your order number.
When returning a damaged or incorrect item, please use tracked shipping so we can follow the parcel’s journey and resolve the issue smoothly. We will cover the return and replacement shipping costs.
Once reviewed, we’ll offer either a replacement or a full refund — including all shipping costs.
What Can Be Returned?
Most items can be returned within the 14-day return period, but some exceptions apply.
- Original artworks — Can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are kept in their original condition.
- Art prints — Can be returned within 14 days once you’ve notified us. Prints must be returned in their original packaging or in similar protective packaging.
- Commissioned or custom-made artworks — These pieces are created especially for you and cannot be returned. One revision is included during the creation process. If you decide not to continue after this revision, only the material costs (canvas + paint) will be invoiced — no labour or creative time.
We don’t offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different piece, please return your item and place a new order.
Return Conditions
To help us process your return smoothly and protect the artwork:
- Items must be unused and in the same condition as received.
- Use the original packaging or similar protective packaging.
- Include your order number or return reference inside the parcel.
We understand that you may need to open the packaging and view the artwork to decide if it’s right for your space. Please handle it carefully — if an item is returned with signs of use or damage beyond what is necessary to inspect it, a deduction may apply to reflect any loss in value.
Return Shipping Costs
- Return shipping costs for standard returns are the responsibility of the customer.
- For damaged or incorrect items, we will cover the return and replacement shipping costs.
- Using tracked shipping helps support a smooth return process and is recommended for all returns.
Refunds — What to Expect
- Refunds are issued once we’ve received and checked the returned item.
- Your refund will include the product price and the standard outbound shipping cost you originally paid (if any).
- Orders that qualified for free shipping (€100+) did not incur shipping fees, so no shipping cost will be included in the refund.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method.
Unclaimed or Undeliverable Parcels
If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, refused, or the address provided was incorrect:
- We can reship the order once it is returned to us (new shipping costs apply), or
- You may request a refund. The refund will include the product price minus: i) the original outbound shipping cost (if any), and ii) any return shipping fees charged by the carrier.
Commissioned artworks that are returned as unclaimed or undeliverable cannot be refunded. If the client no longer wishes to receive the artwork, only the material cost (canvas + paint) will be invoiced.
