We want your artwork to arrive safely, on time, and exactly as expected. Below is a clear overview of how your order is processed, packaged, and delivered, so you know what to expect from the moment you place your order to the moment your art reaches your home.
How Delivery Works — Step by Step
If you’re excited to receive your artwork, here’s what the journey looks like from purchase to delivery:
Step 1 — Processing
We confirm your order and prepare it for production. Typical processing time: 0–1 business day.
Step 2 — Production (Made to Order)
All art prints are made especially for you after you place your order.
- Unframed prints: 2–4 business days.
- Framed prints: 5–7 business days.
Our professional printing and framing partner works to gallery standards to ensure quality and colour accuracy.
Step 3 — Shipping
Once ready, your parcel is shipped to your address. Typical delivery time within the Netherlands: 1–3 business days. We ship with trusted carriers and always include track & trace for your peace of mind. You’ll receive a tracking link as soon as your parcel is on its way.
Original and commissioned artworks follow a different timeline due to the creation, drying and finishing process. We’ll always discuss your expected delivery timeframe with you personally before shipment or handover.
Where We Ship
We currently ship within the Netherlands. Shipping within the EU will be introduced soon — if you are based in the EU and would like to order, please reach out so we can assist you.
Shipping Costs
Shipping is free on orders of €100 or more within the Netherlands (and soon within the EU). For orders below €100, shipping costs will be shown at checkout.
Original and commissioned artworks may require personalised delivery or specialised transport. If any additional costs apply, we’ll always confirm these with you first.
Packaging & Protection
We take great care to make sure your artwork arrives in perfect condition.
- Unframed prints: smaller sizes ship flat in reinforced envelopes; larger sizes ship rolled in sturdy tubes.
- Framed prints: delivered ready to hang, with corner protection and secure layers of packaging.
- Original artworks: carefully packaged by Lin and, where feasible, delivered personally within the Netherlands.
If You Miss Delivery
If you weren’t home when the carrier attempted delivery, they may try a second delivery or take your parcel to a local pickup point. Here’s what to do:
Step 1 — Check the carrier’s delivery notice: The carrier’s email, app or card will tell you whether a second delivery attempt will be made or if your parcel is waiting at a pickup point.
Step 2 — Receive or collect your parcel: If a second delivery is scheduled, please make sure someone is available to receive it. If your parcel is taken to a pickup point, collect it within the timeframe provided by the carrier to avoid it being returned to us. Most carriers hold parcels for 5–7 days before sending them back to the sender.
Step 3 — If the parcel is returned to us: If it arrives back with us, email us so we can help you choose what works best for you:
• We can resend it once it is back with us (new shipping costs apply),
or
• You may request a refund in line with our Returns Policy.
Refunds for unclaimed parcels exclude the original shipping cost and any return fees charged by the carrier.
If Your Order Arrives Damaged or Incorrect
We’re truly sorry if this happens — we’ll make it right.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 48 hours at contact@linjans-art.com and include photos of the packaging, the shipping label, and the item.
Once reviewed, we’ll offer a replacement or a refund — including all shipping costs.
